Columbus man carjacked at gunpoint

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Columbus Police Department is investigating a carjacking that took place early Friday around 4:30 a.m.

Police say a 38-year-old man was carjacked at gunpoint by an unknown suspect.

The suspect took the Phenix City man's 1995 Lincoln Continental at 5th Street and 1st Avenue in downtown Columbus.

The victim was not injured.

    The father of two told police in court papers released Monday that he killed his pregnant wife after witnessing her strangling one of the girls on a baby monitor.
