Man attacked with homemade weapon

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police are looking for two black men responsible for beating and attempting to rob a man with a homemade weapon.

Around 4 a.m. Saturday police met with a 31 year old man who says he was beaten with a stick that had a nail attached to it. He tells police two black men approached him in the Saint Mary's Road and Matilda lane area and began punching him, and hitting him with the homemade weapon.

The victim suffered from several scratches and bruising from the attack. He says one of the suspects was short and the other was light skinned with dreadlocks.
