J.Tom Morgan to speak at Columbus High

COLUMBUS, GA - On Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 7 P.M., J. Tom Morgan, author of Ignorance is No Defense, A Teenager's Guide to Georgia Law, will speak to parents at Columbus High School.

Mr. Morgan will be speaking to the students during the day (9:45-11:15 and 1:15 - 2:30). Mr. Morgan is a former district attorney for DeKalb County and is considered an expert on the prosecution of crimes against children.

His powerful and engaging presentation includes real life examples that specifically address Georgia laws and the potential impact on our teenagers. 

Realizing that many teenagers often do not fully understand the law and its consequences, Mr. Morgan will explain Georgia laws in an informative way.

Mr. Morgan will provide a safe, clear and comprehensive guide to Georgia laws to help our teens make wise choices and avoid being on the other side of the law.

Packed with useful, and sometimes surprising, information, J. Tom Morgan will openly and candidly discuss Georgia's criminal laws regarding sex, alcohol, drugs and theft. 

A former DeKalb District Attorney for 12 years, he has appeared on CNN's Talk Back Live, Oprah Winfrey, Court TV, The Today Show, and 48 Hours.  J. Tom Morgan is dedicated to helping young people avoid being both victims and perpetrators of crime.
