ATLANTA, GA  (WTVM) – There are new details in the dispute surrounding Columbus, GA contractors and a state licensing exam.

The Georgia Supreme Court reversed a lower court ruling which had temporarily allowed contractors without a license to still take out a work permit in Muscogee County.

The ruling now prevents Muscogee County from issuing the permits.

A final hearing in the case should take place in the next couple of months.

It all started after dozens of local contractors sued the state licensing board over new testing requirements.
