A nationwide poll reveals many parents fear for their child's safety at school. The survey which was conducted for Youth Crime Watch of America and the Broward County, Florida Sheriff's Office shows that nearly one in three fears their child will be bullied at school. And one in four is afraid their child will be either shot or stabbed. The Y-C-W-A's executive director says that's "a pretty high level of fear." Despite a Justice Department study showing that juvenile violent crime has been dropping overall, a significant number of parents say their child has witnessed or experienced school violence over the past year. Broward County's sheriff says "School is not viewed as the safe haven it once was."
