COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  An alleged child predator is behind bars in Columbus. Authorities say they found explicit pictures of children on his cell phone.

But that's not all they uncovered.

Fifty-seven-year-old Randall Slone faces several child pornography charges after police say he sold his cell phone to someone and forgot to erase several pornographic photos that were stored inside.

The findings were reported to authorities.

When he was being questioned by members of the Columbus Police Department's Sex Crimes Unit, detectives say Slone started opening up to them.

They tell WTVM he admitted to molesting two young girls in the past and sitting in a car across from local schools and masturbating as he watched children.

Police say the schools he targeted were most likely in the downtown area.

Randall Slone pled guilty to three counts of the sexual exploitation of children.

A judge did issued  $25,000 bond on each charge, totaling $75,000.

Mister Slone has not yet posted that bond and is currently being held in the Muscogee County Jail.

This isn't Slone's first run-in with the law. Court records indicate he pled guilty to making terroristic threats in 2008 and was sentenced to probation and mental health treatment.
