COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police say a suspect held a clerk at gunpoint at two gas stations overnight.

The first one happened just after midnight at the Money Back on Macon Road across from the Columbus Library.

Two hours later, the Circle K on Manchester Expressway near Armour Road was also robbed.

The suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.  Captain Renee McAneny says the description of the suspect is similar in both robberies, which is why McAneny says they believe the suspect hit both stores.

He is described as a black male, 5'9", medium build.

No one was hurt.  Police say they do not have any leads at this time.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of this suspect, call Columbus Police Department @ 706-653-3400.
