AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -  Family and friends wait in Auburn with support as Dean Road Elementary student, Ross Folmar, receives treatment at Children's Hospital.

The young boy was seriously injured while playing baseball in his yard.

The principals of Dean Road Elementary and Auburn Early Education Center, where Folmar's mother is an assistant principal, were on route to Birmingham as of Wednesday morning to be with the family.

Folmar is currently in critical condition.

The Auburn United Methodist Church held a prayer vigil for the family Wednesday night. They also gave the family a prayer pager. Every time the pager rings the family knows someone has prayed for them. The number for the pager is (334) 742-5240.
