COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Texting while driving is dangersous and causes deadly accidents.

States are taking a stand against it and so is Oprah Winfrey.

Friday, is National No Phone Zone Day.  Winfrey and Columbus radio station Foxie 105are recogning the event.

The radio station is broadcasting live in the parking lot of Captain D's and in the parking lot of Denny's on Macon Road.

Listeners are encouraged to stop by the locations to sign their No Phone Zone Pledge.
