By Storm Team 9  - email | Facebook | Twitter

* Flash Flood Watches and Flood Watches are in effect for parts of the area through Tuesday evening *

*Flood Warning is in effect for the Tallapoosa River in Randolph, Chambers, Tallapoosa, and Macon counties in East Alabama*

(WTVM) - Numerous showers and thunderstorms continue this afternoon as a slow moving front slides through the region.

The risk for strong to severe thunderstorms has moved east of WTVM's coverage area in Georgia.

Two to four inches of rain will be common amounts across the area as abundant moisture is in place at this time.  It's possible that some locations could see 5" or more before the system moves out.

Our weather will improve a bit tomorrow as gradual clearing is expected late Tuesday, and full sunshine is expected on Wednesday.

If you see any weather related trouble happening, snap it and send it to pix@wtvm.com.
