COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A Columbus man is sent to the hospital with stab wounds after being robbed for $30.
The victim tells police he was walking to the Shell gas station located at 4500 River Road when an unknown man came up behind him and stabbed him in the thigh with a sharp object.
After pushing the victim to the ground, the suspect demanded money. When the victim refused, he was stabbed in the forearm and two more times in the thigh. The victim then gave him $30 in cash and watched the suspect run away towards Meritas Drive.
The suspect is described as a black man, in his 20's or 30's standing at 6 feet tall. He had a slim build and was dressed in all dark clothing.
