Man wanted in Auburn, AL, arrested in Atlanta

AUBURN, AL - On Monday, May 3, 2010 the Auburn Police Division arrested Steven P. Rogers, age 47, of Atlanta, Georgia, on a warrant charging him with Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. 

His arrest stems from the investigation of a police report filed last May.  According to the report two men entered a bank located in the 800 block of East Glenn Avenue and presented forged checks.

Rogers was developed as one of the suspects and a warrant for his arrest was issued in October. 

He was taken into custody on un-related charges by MARTA police in Atlanta who discovered Rogers was wanted in Alabama. 

He was extradited to Alabama on Monday and taken to the Lee County Detention Center where he awaits bond.
