COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police were called to the Goodyear Tire Store on Buena Vista Road around 3:00 AM Wednesday.

The suspects reportedly smashed in the glass door. The hole was so big, the suspects walked  into the store and stole a flat screen TV.  Police say the service manager did not notice any other items missing.

Police also say they were surprised by the incident because of the store's high visibility to Buena Vista Road.  It sits about 25 feet from the highly traveled road and only 20 feet from two street lights in both directions.

Investigators are searching for clues about the suspects. No description or leads are available.

Shannon Resendes, Goodyear Service Manager, says the store is corporately owned and called a vendor to quickly repair the glass door.

The store opens for business as usual at 7:30 AM.
