Muscogee may vote on closing schools Monday

COLUMBUS, GA  (WTVM) –  Monday evening, the Muscogee County school board is hosting a public hearing on a property tax increase that will affect Columbus residents.

Official say the school board is also expected to vote on the closing of the Muscogee County Evening School and the closing of Benning Hills Elementary School.

Also up for vote is whether or not out-of-state tuition should be required for children of Muscogee County employees and changing the start and end time of school.
