COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police have arrested two men for allegedly possessing prescription drugs with intent to distribute.
On Thursday, officers say they arrested Mario McCoy after pulling him over on 5th Avenue around 10:00 a.m.
McCoy was allegedly found to have in his possession an unknown amount of Xanax.
Also, a second man with outstanding warrants for battery, was taken into custody just before 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators say he was arrested at his residence on Kennedy Drive.-- ten 40-milligram pills of Oxycontin were found. We're told the street value of the drugs found at the home was $250.
