LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) - A LaGrange man says he was picking up cans along the side of the road when he made a startling discovery --a dead body.
Police found 41-year-old Andrew McDowell bent over and coughing when they arrived at the intersection of Fort Drive and Hamilton Road Thursday afternoon.
McDowell told police he drove partly into a wooded area off the road to pick up cans when he felt a man's skin—cold to the touch.
The body has been identified as 58–year-old Bobby Linson of Lagrange, GA. He was found lying on his back, with his pants unbuckled and shoes off.
Police reports indicate that officers noticed tire tracks leading up to the area where Linson's body was found.
This case remains under investigation. We're told an autopsy investigation has already been completed. However details surrounding how Linson died will not be released to the public as of yet.
