COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police continue to investigate the recent razor blade scare at Lakebottom Park.

Last week, a mother found nine blades taped to different parts of the playground just before her child hopped on the equipment.

Police say it remains an isolated incident.

There are parts of their investigation they are not releasing right now but there have been no hits in the AVIS criminal fingerprint system on the prints officers lifted from the blades and tape.

Members of the Columbus Police Department's Youth Services Division are waiting to receive a copy of surveillance video from a business in the Saint Elmo Shopping Center across from the park from the night of the incident.

Officials want to see if it captured anything from the street or park since the camera is located outside.

In the meantime, investigators continue to canvass the area.

The ask anyone with information to call CPD's Youth Services at 706-653-3449 or Crime Stoppers at (706) 653-3188.

WTVM will continue to bring you the latest.
