COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police are investigating a carjacking at Cooper Creek Park.

It happened Tuesday night at 11 PM.

According to reports, 18-year-old Hannah Merriweather, was thrown out of her car at gunpoint and her boyfriend, 18-year-old Donovan Anderson was struck in the face with a weapon at the park.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Merriweather declined an interview Wednesday but her mother tells WTVM she is lucky to be alive and that there were two gunmen- one armed with a pistol and one armed with a rifle- who got away in her 2007 Toyota Yaris.

Police reports confirm a rifle and pistol were involved in the hijacking.
