AU plans disaster training, Nurses in mock trial

Preparing for disaster at Auburn University

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - A disaster drill has been planned for Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Beard-Eves Memorial Coliseum. A search and rescue group out of Georgia will be working hand in hand with East Alabama emergency first responders. The scenario involves a massive fire and building collapse on campus. Crews will work together to learn how to best respond to this type of disaster so more lives can be saved.

Mock rape trial helps nurses prepare for the stand

LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - Today inside the Lee County Justice Center, The Lee County District Attorney's office will be holding a mock rape trial. The goal is to help SANE nurses or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, learn how to advocate for a sexual assault victim in court and on the stand.
