Columbus fire marshal investigates arson at mobile homes

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Two abandoned mobile home fires in Columbus are being investigated as arsons.

Fire marshal, Chief Thomas Streeter, says juveniles may be to blame for the blazes that both happened at Park Crest Mobile home park.

Park owner, John Melton, believes a former tenant started the fires.

Up to $6,000 worth of damage has been done at the mobile home park.

Columbus Police are increasing patrol in the area to try and catch whoever is responsible.
