AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – The Auburn Fire Department is investigating an arson at Archie's Oyster Bar. Fire investigators found evidence at Archie's indicating that the blaze was intentionally set.
Authorities say they have a suspect, but one man is still at large.
Thursday, police tried to stop a car at North Dean Road and Opelika Road. We're told the men inside the car jumped out.
The car, however, went on and struck a business in the 400 block of North Dean Road.
Police caught one of the men who jumped out of the car. Twenty-one-year-old Joshua Jones has been arrested and charged with burglary, theft of property, and arson in the second degree.
Auburn Police found stolen property from the oyster bar in the car.
We're told 26-year-old Jeremy Jones of Villa Rica, GA is still at large. He is wanted on the same charges.
This case is under investigation by the Auburn Police Division, the Auburn Fire Division, and the Alabama Fire Marshal's Office.
