Teen killed in Phenix City crash

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) – News Leader 9 has confirmed a teen died in a traffic accident on Highway 280 in Phenix City during the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

The Russell County Coroner reports 16-year-old Anna Parmer of Phenix City was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering multiple blunt force trauma to her body.

We're told the accident happened Monday in front of the Home Depot near Summerville Road around 5:30 p.m.

We're told Parmer was a Central High School student.

Investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the crash.

No other details about the crash are known at this time.
