Teen suspects hijack cars from elderly women

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) –  Columbus Police are investigating two cases of hijackings. In both cases, elderly women were targeted by teens with guns.

Sunday morning an 80-year-old woman says two teens with pistols approached her at her Beacon Avenue apartment.

The victim told police the teens struck her in the head with a pistol and demanded her keys.

They fled with her maroon 1998 Crown Victoria. The victim suffered from scapes and cuts to both of her hands.

Later that day around 9:00 p.m, a 75-year-old disabled woman was threatened with a handgun by two teens at Ashley Station Boulevard.

The suspects took her gold 2000 Ford Taurus.

The teens are described as black males, wearing white t-shirts – one wearing a black hat.
