Publix opens new grocery store in Auburn

AUBURN – Publix Super Markets is proud to announce the opening of its first store in Auburn, AL. A grand opening ceremony will take place Wednesday,  June 2 at 6:45 a.m.

Grand Opening Day will include a 6:45 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony with the remarks by The Honorable Bill Ham Jr., Mayor of Auburn .

The 45,400 square-feet store will contain the traditional grocery, meat, produce, dairy and frozen food departments in addition to the following full-service departments: pharmacy, bakery, deli, and fresh seafood. Approximately 110 associates will be employed at the store.

The first 1,500 customers will receive a free Publix re-usable grocery bag. Flowers will be given to customers as they enter the store while supplies last.

The first 25 customers who purchase $25 or more in groceries will win a free bag of groceries valued at $25. 

Fun activities for children will take place from 3 – 8 p.m. including a magician, balloon artist and  caricature artist. Customers will be encouraged to register to win prizes throughout the store including a $100

gift card from Publix, desert platter, deli platter and fresh products from the meat and produce departments.
