East Alabama man arrested for capital murder

LANETT, AL (WTVM) – Lanett police have arrested a man in connecting with a weekend murder.

Officers say they have detained 30-year-old Ezra Earl Honor – charging him with capital murder of Jaquan Stephens.

No motive has been issued.

According to police reports, investigators found Stephen's car off the side of the road on Saturday, near the 2300 block of 30th Street.

He was unconscious with a bullet wound to the neck.
