Press Release

LEE COUNTY, AL - Lee County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of Darius Dungelo Carr AKA "Lil D" (19), of Smith Station, Lee County, Alabama.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is currently attempting to locate and arrest Carr on (4) four counts of Robbery in the First Degree and (1) one count of Burglary in the First Degree.  These charges stem from Carr being linked to a home invasion robbery in the following reported event:

On May 27, 2010, at approximately 6:30 AM/CST,  the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the residence of 230 Lee Road 307 Phenix City, Lee County, Alabama.

The caller advised that they had been robbed by three black males who had kicked open their front door.

The three intruders were armed with various weapons (one with a shotgun and two with handguns) and wearing bandanas over their faces to disguise their identity.

After hitting one of the people in the home with the butt of the shotgun, the offenders tied up three of the five people inside the home with electrical cords and forced them to lay down on the living room floor.

The robbers then took various property (cell phones, lap top computers, television, cash, etc) from the victims' home.  The three suspects then fled the residence and no one was seriously injuried in this incident.
