COLUMBUS, GA - A new housing report out indicates foreclosure rates in the Columbus area are on the rise.
These figures, from Corelogic, show foreclosure rates up in April – over 1.5%.
While that's up almost .75% from this same time last year, the Columbus rate is actually lower than the national foreclosure rate.
That rate still sits at over 3%.
The report also says homeowners are having trouble keeping up with their house payments.
The local mortgage delinquency rate is over 6% – more than it was at this time last year.
