LEE COUNTY, AL - Lee County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of Oscarneil Wesley Johnson, 21, of Smith Station, Alabama.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office is currently attempting to locate and arrest Johnson on an outstanding warrant for one count of Unlawful Shooting into an Occuppied Dwelling and additional charges are pending further investigation.
This charge stems from Johnson being linked to a driveby shooting involving the following reported event:
On May 30, 2010, at approximately 6:15 PM/CST, the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to 245 Lee Rd. 500 Phenix City, Lee County, Alabama in reference to shooting into an occupied dwelling.
According to the victims, a white Lincoln Sedan stopped in front of the residence and two armed black males (one armed with a shotgun and the other armed with a handgun) got out of the vehicle and fired multiple gunshots into the home.
There was one person inside the home and several other people in close proximity of the home at the time the offenders fired multiple rounds into the home.
The driver of a Trailblazer (innocent by standers and neighbors of the target home) pulled up behind the suspects vehicle that was parked in the roadway and observed what was happening.
This vehicle had five passengers riding inside of it including the driver. The offenders then turned their guns on the Trailblazer and fired several shots into the Trailblazer.
A sixteen year old female victim, who was a passenger in this vehicle was struck by gun fire in her shoulders while the driver of the Trailblazer attempted to flee from the individuals shooting.
The 16-year-old victim was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital located in Columbus, Georgia where she was treated and released for her gunshot injuries. There was no one else injured in this shooting incident.
