Crime Stoppers: Elderly women hijacked

COLUMBUS, GA - Police are requesting information concerning hi-jacking of motor vehicle's in the Ashley Station Apartments and Beacon Avenue areas.

On Sunday May 30, 2010 at 12:25am, on Beacon Avenue an elderly female was attempting to exit her car when two black males stuck a pistol to her head and demanded the key to her vehicle.

They pushed her to the ground and took the keys and the vehicle, a maroon Ford Crown Victoria.

The 2 suspects then traveled to Ashley Station Apartments where they approached another victim who was sitting in his vehicle at his apartment with the engine running. The two suspects approached him with a pistol. The victim was able to escape in his vehicle without a shot being fired.

On this same date, May 30, 2010 at 10:00 pm at Ashley Station Apartments, an elderly female was exiting her Ford Taurus when two black males pointed a pistol at her and demanded the key to the vehicle. The suspects fled in the Taurus, which was later recovered abandoned at the 1600 Block of Forest Avenue.

Suspect Information: 2 black males; early to late teens; one suspect wearing a red and white striped t-shirt and carring a black hand-gun.
