Man says prostitute set him up for robbery

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus man says he was set up by a prostitute to be robbed.

The 54-year-old man tells police he was in a room at the Georgian Motel on Victory Drive on June 7th with a prostitute.

He says when he went to the bathroom, she let two men into the room and the men told the victim they would hurt him if he didn't them his money.

They got away with his ATM card.

The victim was not injured.

He did not reported the alleged incident until June 16th at the Columbus Public Safety Building.

Police are investigating the incident.
