COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus teen is recovering after police say he was shot outside of a local strip club.

Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Swift, a student at Troy University, tells police he was hit by a bullet in the forearm in the parking lot of the Carousel Lounge on Victory Drive early Sunday morning.

Swift says the gunman fired at him during an attempted robbery.

He describes the suspect as a black man, 6'1" 155 lbs. with a dark complexion, wearing a green and yellow baseball cap, white t-shirt and black sweat pants and driving a green Saturn hatchback.

Swift was taken to the Columbus Regional Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

The incident comes on the heels of three armed robberies reported in the club's parking lot during the same night last week.
