Robbers strike LaGrange man in leg then rob him

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) -  Police are searching for two suspects they say jumped a man in the street and robbed him.

It happened early Sunday morning around 1:30 on Broome Street.

According to police the victim, 45-year-old Chris Holder, was walking down the street when he was approached by two men and then hit in the leg with an unknown object.

After they struck Holder, police say they stole his wallet and ran away.

A canine unit tracked the wallet down, without the money in it, but did not locate the suspects.

The only description provided is two males in dark clothing.

The case is being investigated as a robbery by force and an aggravated assault.
