Teenage girl shot in Columbus apartment

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Police are looking for a local teen they say shot a girl in the leg.

It happened Monday night just before 11:30 at an apartment on Fort Benning Road.

According to reports, 17-year-old Kiundra Knight was shot in the left thigh by 17-year-old Fernando Brown inside Brown's apartment.

Reports also indicate the incident was family violence but do not indicate how the victim and suspect are related.

Police are still searching for Brown.
