Man in ski mask burglarizes Shanty Shack

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) –  Columbus Police are investigating three  business burglaries.

Just before midnight Monday, the Sports Page on Veterans Parkway was broken into. The suspects smashed a slide door with a concrete block. A 50-inch flat screen television, worth about $2000, was stolen.

Investigators are searching for suspects who broke into a Columbus Restaurant early Tuesday morning. Police say someone broke into the Shanty Shack off Warmsprings Road around 2:30 a.m. The suspect shattered the front glass door with a brick and stole a 42-inch flat screen television worth about $900.

The suspected burglar is described as a slim white man, around 5'11, wearing a black ski mask, jeans and a long gray shirt.

A short time later, Elegant Nails on Milgen Road was burglarized.  The front glass door was broken. It's not clear at this time what all was taken from the business or if the this crime is connected to any of the previously reported crimes.
