CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) – Chambers County authorities have arrested 30-year-old Marco Lloyd in connection with recent church burglaries in Chambers County.
Police caught Lloyd red-handed burglarizing Galilee Baptist Church in Chambers County, Alabama. Lloyd had an audio soundboard in his hand, a speaker by the church side door and an electronic keyboard in his car.
He is suspected for nearly 12 church burglaries in Chambers County since June. Investigators tell News Leader Nine they believe Lloyd to also be the prime suspect in a string of church burglaries in 2005.
Investigators say every church burglary has been identical with no fingerprints, no footprints, and no tools used to open a door or window. It's believed the suspect breaks in by shoving his shoulder against the door. Musical equipment is the only thing taken from the burglaries.
