Store clerk robbed at gunpoint, wallet taken

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) - A LaGrange store clerk was robbed at gunpoint and before the suspect left, he took the clerk's wallet.

Friday morning at around 2:43 am, officers of the LaGrange Police Department responded to the summit located at 320 Commerce Avenue in LaGrange, GA in regards to an armed robbery that just occurred.

Police reports say, an unidentified black male armed with what appeared to be a single barrel shotgun entered the business and demanded that the clerk open the cash register. The suspect then took an unknown amount of  money and fled on foot toward Hogansville Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, medium brown complexion, approximately 6'2, weighing between 230 and 240 pounds, wearing a black stocking type mask, with his head shaved or cut very short. He was wearing a white tee shirt, blue jean pants, and white tennis shoes.
