Press Release

COLUMBUS, GA – The Georgia Department of Labor's Columbus Career Center is helping MDV/Nash Finch of Norfolk, Va. fill 37 job openings for tractor trailer drivers.

MDV is a division of Nash Finch Company, the second largest publicly traded wholesale food distributor in the country. The company is the Southeast region's distribution supplier of goods for commissaries and post exchanges, such as the one at Fort Benning.

While the company is hiring, applicants must come to the labor department's career center at 700 Veterans Parkway in Columbus to be screened by the staff and to fill-out company applications.

Applicants may register for the drivers' jobs at the career center Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The company will conduct a drug screening test, perform a background check, and check drivers' motor vehicle registrations.

Salaries for the drivers range from $40,000-$43,000 a year, based on previous experience.

For additional information about the recruitment, contact the Columbus Career Center at (706) 649-7423.
