Dr. Mike Rallo is the Chief Medical Officer of Columbus Hospice and the Medical Director of Columbus Palliative Care, Inc. He is involved on a daily basis in the care and treatment of patients who are at the end of life or suffering with serious life-limiting illnesses.
He is a native of southern Illinois. He earned a BA of Biology at the University of Illinois, and his MD at The University of Illinois Peoria School of Medicine. He completed a Family Practice Residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Prior to his move to Columbus in 2004, he practiced Family Medicine for 26 years in Collinsville, Illinois. He was the Medical Director of the Hospice of Madison County in Granit City, Illinois for 21 years.
He is a certified EPEC (Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care) educator and speaks regionally to physicians and allied health professionals on palliative care., He is a faculty member of the Columbus Regional Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program.
