Muscogee Co. School District opens false residency hotline

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Muscogee County School District wants to crack down on students going to school illegally.  

Wednesday night, the district adopted a False Residency Policy where a confidential number will be available to anyone who would like to report people not living in their assigned school area.

If you would like to report someone, just call the hotline at (706) 748-2267.

One can also report to Muscogee's central registration officer by calling (706)-748-2208) or  call the principal of the school that the student attends.

Just make sure you have the following items:

1. The name of the student
2. Their parent's name
3. The address of the legal guardian
4. The reason that they think the student is receiving an education illegally
