CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) –  Fire crews of 55 to 60 people from four different departments controlled a Monday morning blaze at the historic Langdale Mill in Valley, AL.

Fire officials believe the fire began in a bale of cotton. Currently, fire personnel are on standby to monitor hot spots in the building—particularly in areas where cotton is stored.

So far, there are no reports of injuries.

The historic Langdale Mill was built in the late 1800s and served as a storage facility for bales of cotton.
