Man shot multiple times outside Phenix City club

PHENIX CITY, AL (WXTX) –  Phenix City Police say a man shot multiple times at a lounge is still in the hospital.

The shooting occurred at Richardson's Lounge on Seale Road early Saturday around 1:20 a.m.

Authorities found 26-year-old Carlos Johnson of Columbus lying on the ground suffering from multiple wounds to the stomach, arm and leg.

Richardson's Lounge owner tells News Leader 9 the shooting occurred after hours and he does not know why his place was targeted.

Witnesses say multiple shots were fired by an unknown man who fled the scene on foot.

Officials tell us Johnson underwent surgery on Saturday for his injuries and his condition has been upgraded from critical to unsatisfactory condition.


The case is under investigation by the Phenix City Police department.
