Columbus pharmacy arson suspect arrested again

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – One of the suspects in the River Road Pharmacy arson is behind bars once again.

Lillian Burkett is now charged with insurance fraud and false report of a crime, stemming from the fire officials say was intentionally set at the Columbus landmark.

Witnesses in the case have testified Burkett set her car on fire in Talbot County after the fire last September, allegedly to cover up evidence.

Prosecutors say Burkett reported the car stolen after it was already burned.

She was scheduled to appear in Recorder's Court on Friday, but has since posted bond.

Her case in now in Superior Court.
