Bullet snaps man's leg bone

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A man's leg bone is shattered by a bullet and now Columbus Police are looking for the shooter.

Sixty-five-year-old Johnny Underwood tells police he was sitting in his car in the parking lot of rental office at the Booker T. Washington Apartments on 5th Avenue when he was shot in the thigh by an unknown gunman.

The shooting happened around 2 AM Friday at the housing project off 5th Avenue.

According to reports, the bullet fractured Underwood's right femur.

He was taken to the Medical Center for treatment.

He describes the suspect as a black man, 19-20 years old, 5'8" with dreadlocks wearing a white T-shirt, a black and white bandana and toting a pistol.

Reports list another suspect at the scene as "Dallas"- a black man 29-30 years old, 5'9" 180 lbs. wearing a gray ball cap and T-shirt.
