Columbus man drowns in friend's pool

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus man's death has been ruled an accidental drowning.

Muscogee County Coroner Bill Thrower says 57-year-old Ralph Jackson was swimming at a friend's private pool Saturday when he drowned.

Thrower says Jackson knew how to swim.

He was pronounced dead at 10:00 p.m. Saturday at Saint Francis Hospital.
