COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  High above the 13th Street viaduct in Columbus is a billboard that's pretty hard to miss.

It's certainly not your standard advertisement.

Under a touching message and photo of a couple is the question: "Rekha Daswani, Will You Marry Me?"

It turns out Daswani is the Senior Advertising Manager for the Ledger Enquirer and the ad was total surprise to her.

Rekha and her boyfriend, Abhi, met through a friend and have been together about a year.

Abhi lives in Chicago but he knew he wanted to pop the big question in a big way. Since Rekha's in the advertising business, he thought the billboard would be the perfect proposal. With the help of her coworkers, he found a prime location and made a secret trip to Columbus to drive her pass it himself.

"He took me to it. He surprised me at work in the morning so that was a surprise in itself and then he drove me to the billboard and needless to say, I was shocked and I don't think I actually said anything at that time," Rekha revealed to WTVM.

But Abhi didn't have to wait too long to hear the one word he was hoping the woman of his dreams would say.

"Of course I said yes! That was definitely going to be the answer," Rekha added.

Abhi also took out a half page ad in the newspaper to announce the couple's good news.

"It's hard to pull off something that's as big of a surprise as that was but to be a part of something so important to her is obviously something I'll always remember," said Amy Bergman, a co-worker who helped orchestrate the whole thing.

The groom-to-be says this is just the start of what's to come for his future wife.

"I'm definitely going to keep the bar this high for her. She deserves it. I'm the luckiest man in the world," Abhi, whose full name is Abhishek Gurnani, said during a phone interview from Chicago Wednesday.

"This is sort of a fairy tale to say the least and he's nothing short of a prince. He's always been very nice and this has just been overwhelming," Rekha added.

The couple has not yet set a date for their big day but they plan on getting married next summer.
