TROUP COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - It has been a long wait for a family in Greenville, GA and the Troup County Sheriff's Office.  The fifth and final suspect in a January murder is in custody.

The suspect, Daniel Lee Allen was caught thousands of miles away from the scene of the crime in Brooklyn, New York. The U.S. Marshals picked him up after he had been on the run for seven months.

Back in January, Dwayne Louder was found dead inside his car along a rural Troup County road. Investigators say he was driven there and shot several times by men that kidnapped him from his Greenville, Georgia home.

Out of five suspects, four were arrested relatively quickly and are in the Troup County jail awaiting trial.

The last suspect was still considered a dangerous fugitive, said Sergeant Chad Mann, "He has been to the Troup County jail in the past and he has given New York as a place of birth. So, when leads ran dry here, we suspected he may have returned."

Allen had returned to New York and gotten in trouble.  The U.S. Marshals were actively pursuing Allen when a tip led straight to him.

Sergeant Mann told News Leader 9, "It is a huge relief because that is the final piece, the missing piece to the puzzle."

Troup County officials are still waiting on a positive ID because Allen has been using an alias and is refusing to let them take fingerprints.

Allen will be charged with felony murder and kidnapping.  Officials do not know when Allen will return to Troup County because he is probably facing charges in New York.
