Boat crashes into E. Alabama bridge, couple injured

LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - Lee County Sheriff's Department tells News Leader 9 a boat crashed into the Long Bridge on Lee Road 379 at Lake Harding. 

Two passengers, 22-year-old Sean Cook and  24-year-old Ashley Cook, were transported to the Columbus Medical Center to be treated for head injuries.  Husband, Sean Cook, is in critical condition, while his wife is listed in unsatisfactory condition.

According to the officials, Sean Cook was airlifted from the scene. 

Sheriff Deputies and Marine Police say the accident happened around 10:00 p.m. Thursday after the couple left a restaurant called Kosomo's.

The couple were reportedly in a brand new 2010 Tahoe Boat. It is unclear what may have caused the collision. 

We are told the couple is from Fort Mitchell, AL.
