Columbus teen shot in the face

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus teen was shot in the face after a Saturday night party, and surprisingly he survived.

The 19-year-old victim tells police he was leaving a party on Milgen Road and was sitting in a nearby parking lot when cars started circling them.

He says he ducked for cover while several of the occupants of the cars were firing shots. 

The victim was shot in the jaw and was rushed to Saint Francis by his friends. He suffers from a shattered jawbone and we are told his injuries are not life threatening.

A description of the suspects is not available at this time.
