RUSSELL COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - Russell County deputies say they have captured the four suspects they believe burglarized the Big Cat gas station on Woodland Drive around 4:00 a.m. Monday.

The General Manager of the Big Cat tells News Leader 9 the suspects fired back.  The store was closed Monday to clean up from the break in.

Lieutenant Heath Taylor said three of the suspects were captured after a short car chase just after daylight Monday. Their names are Michael Pfannschmidt, 24, Brett Chaney, 18, and one other unnamed suspect.

Authorities called in K-9 and a helicopter crew to assist in searching for the last suspect, 23-year-old Lee Messer.  He was captured hours later.

We are told $300 was recovered during the search.

No other details about this incident are known at this time.
