Georgians head to the polls for the runoff races

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Voters in Georgia head to the polls Tuesday in a runoff that will determine who will face off in the November general election.

Polls opened at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.

One of the big races is the GOP side for governor.

A poll released Monday showed Karen Handel with a slight lead over Nathan Deal.

Other races that have to be sorted out include insurance commissioner, attorney general and secretary of state.
